Privacy policy

Freight Benchmarks (freightbenchmarks.com) is operated by Centreville Tech LLC (“we”). This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you request a quote, subscribe to updates or contact us: your name, email, phone, company, the shipment details you enter (origins, destinations, volumes, goods, timing) and any message.
- How you found us. The page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the referring website and any campaign tags in the link (for example
utm_source). The site keeps these in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab. - Technical data. Our web server logs IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. To block spam we store a one-way hash of your IP address with each form submission.
We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, and to pass a quote request to the forwarder who will answer it (see below).
- To send the monthly benchmark update if you subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email us.
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse.
Who we share it with
- A licensed US freight forwarder. When you request a quote, we share your request with a licensed US freight forwarder and customs broker so it can contact you and quote. That forwarder may pay us a referral fee. It uses your information to answer your request under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers that host the site and deliver our email, only to run those services.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
We do not share your information with anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Quote requests: up to 24 months, then deleted. Update subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Server logs: about 30 days.
Your choices
Email hello@centrevilletech.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to unsubscribe. We answer within 30 days.
Other things to know
The site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children. We protect what we hold with access controls and encrypted connections, but no system is perfectly secure. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top.
